BD’s SS18

Welcome to BD’s SS18. This is a feature that I will continue to expand on as we progress through the spring/summer and will showcase my versatile approach to some warm weather this year.

Spring flow. With some inconsistent weather during the start of this spring season, it was a no-brainer to utilize one of my favourite transitional jackets, the leather biker jacket. As seen in a previous post from the winter time, the possibilities are endless with this jacket regardless of season as long as you style it correctly.

The jacket was worn with a knit sweater to compliment the leather, a pair of black washed distressed denim, and a classic black pair of Chelsea boots. I accessorized this outfit with a pair of specs and a watch to compliment the look just the right amount. Accessories can either make or break an entire look and for men in particular, it is important to know when things can begin to fall off (unless you’re one of the three Migos of course).

At a recent photoshoot with my sister, I showcased one of my favourite spring/summer looks thus far. A short sleeve slim fit dress shirt, slim black dress pants, and a pair of black loafers.

Giving you a little upscale vibe, this outfit makes for a great look on any given night out during the season. Once again, accessories can be hit or miss regardless of name brands! This outfit was accessorized with a watch and belt to compliment the top and bottoms which completed the look.

Stay tuned for more on the way.

Welcome back to BD’s Flow. After an extremely busy and cold winter stretch, we are nearing the final stages of this season very soon. Recently, I was able to check out the long-anticipated “Pick6ix” restaurant/sports bar during a night out in the city.

Without any doubt, Pick6ix is one of Toronto’s finest. With luxurious design, exceptional dishes, and some of today’s hottest music, gives this restaurant a very unique ambience.

Stepped away from the parka for just a moment. Classic camel, a knit sweater, along with slim black denim, and laced up black Timberlands was the way to go for some fine dining on this occasion.

Fall Summary

A combination of versatile streetwear and basics summarizes the 2017 fall season.

Express yourself through your style choices. Here I am in a bright orange Stone Island basic hoodie paired with washed black distressed denim. Vibrant colours are not something I gravitate towards often, but it was a great way for me to shake things up in my wardrobe this season as I constantly keep an eye out for ways to grow.

Next, we have one of my favourite looks for a night out this season.

This second look features a leather biker jacket paired with dark blue denim. To complete the outfit I went with a taupe coloured hoodie and classic Timberland boots. The perfect look for a night out as it still has the flair you are looking for, but is complimented well with my some of my go-to basics.

Here is a street feature for this year’s fall season. This is one of my favourite relaxed outfits for this time of the year while still retaining that “street” flair. I keep things simple with a khaki hooded parka paired with a black relaxed fit t-shirt worn under. I find the khaki green colour a great option for just about any outfit in the fall as it can be just the perfect touch. For the bottom half, I paired light skinny fit denim with black Chelsea boots.

Transitional Basics

IMG_9206We’re at that seasonal stage where dressing can become a little tricky. It’s very easy to either over or under dress according to the weather as it currently stands. Here I give you a look into my favourite transitional season basics this year.

FullSizeRender-2.jpgYou can never go wrong with a basic hoodie paired with black denim on any given day during fall season. Here I have on an OVO “Free The Demons” hoodie released for the opening of the OVO flagship store at Yorkdale Mall back in August.

IMG_9205.JPGFor basics, Stone Island is one of my favourite brands as the quality is what you pay for. Here I have on a basic dark navy long sleeve with some distressed black denim. I went with classic black Timberland’s to complete the look as I find that they can be the perfect compliment to many basic looks regardless of season.
